Golden puff pastry squares filled with creamy cheese and diced ham, baked until flaky and bubbling.

Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup diced cooked ham
1 tablespoon milk or cream
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet.
  2. Roll puff pastry and cut into six squares.
  3. Press squares into muffin tin cavities.
  4. Mix cream cheese, cheddar, ham, milk, and pepper.
  5. Spoon filling into pastry cups.
  6. Brush pastry edges with egg wash.
  7. Bake 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
  8. Cool slightly and remove from tin.

Notes

Keep pastry cold for best flakiness. Avoid overfilling to prevent spillage. Reheat in oven to maintain crisp texture
