These homemade cheesy breadsticks are soft, buttery, and loaded with gooey melted cheese. Perfect for dipping, snacking, or pairing with your favorite dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chopped parsley or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy (5–10 minutes).
  2. Stir in flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead until smooth. Let rise 1 hour until doubled.
  3. Preheat oven to 425°F. Roll dough into a 9×13-inch rectangle.
  4. Top with cheese and press gently. Transfer to lined or greased baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley. Brush over hot breadsticks.
  7. Slice and serve warm.

  • Use fresh-shredded cheese for best results.
  • Add chili flakes or Parmesan for variation.
