Chicken Arrabbiata Pasta – Spicy Cream Sauce Twist

Creamy Chicken all’Arrabbiata combines tender seared chicken with a spicy tomato sauce mellowed by a splash of cream. A bold, comforting meal ready in under 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts, sliced
  • Salt, pepper, Italian herbs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 46 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes or 1½ cups passata
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Optional: ½ tsp sugar, Parmesan, fresh parsley
  • 10 oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Season and sear chicken in 1 tbsp oil until golden. Set aside.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic in remaining oil. Add chili flakes.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, cook 1 min. Add tomatoes, simmer 10 min.
  4. Stir in cream. Return chicken. Simmer 5 min.
  5. Toss with pasta or serve over side of choice.
  6. Garnish and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust spice to your liking.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for a veggie boost.
  • Use Greek yogurt for a lighter finish (off-heat)
