Chicken Buttered Noodles is a simple, family-friendly dinner made with tender chicken, soft egg noodles, and buttery seasoning. Comforting, quick, and perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley or chives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles in salted water until tender. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
  2. Return noodles to pot. Stir in butter until melted.
  3. Add chicken, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Parmesan. Toss well to combine.
  4. Add pasta water as needed to loosen. Garnish with herbs. Serve warm.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for a shortcut. Add veggies or cheese for a complete meal. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days.
