Creamy pasta tossed with garlic, parmesan, and pan-seared chicken breast — a comforting, crowd-pleasing dinner made in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 46 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sear in skillet with oil and 1 tbsp butter until golden and cooked through. Remove and slice.
  3. In same pan, add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté 30–60 seconds.
  4. Add chicken broth and deglaze pan. Stir in cream, simmer 2–3 minutes, then add parmesan.
  5. Return pasta and sliced chicken to pan. Toss gently, adding pasta water if needed.
  6. Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan. Serve hot.

Notes

Customize with spinach, peas, or mushrooms. Swap cream for half-and-half for a lighter version. Best served fresh, but leftovers reheat well.
