Heaven on Earth Cake is a layered dessert made with angel food cake, cherry pie filling, creamy vanilla pudding, and whipped topping for a light and luscious treat.

Ingredients

1 prepared angel food cake, cut into cubes
1 can cherry pie filling 21 ounces
1 package instant vanilla pudding mix 3.4 ounces
1 1/2 cups cold whole milk
1 cup sour cream
1 container whipped topping 8 ounces
Optional sliced almonds or white chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the cake cubes in a baking dish.
  2. Spoon half of the cherry filling over cake.
  3. Whisk pudding mix and milk until thick.
  4. Fold in sour cream until smooth.
  5. Spread half of pudding mixture over cherries.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  7. Top with whipped topping.
  8. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
  9. Garnish if desired.

Notes

Chill thoroughly for best texture.
Store refrigerated up to three days.
