This Easy Lasagna Recipe features layers of tender pasta, hearty meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and melty cheese. It’s a comforting, crowd-pleasing classic that’s simple to make and always satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 912 lasagna noodles (no-boil or cooked)

  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 23 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste (optional)

  • 1½ cups ricotta cheese

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  • Cook meat with onion and garlic. Add sauce, seasoning, and simmer 15 mins.

  • In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, salt, and parsley.

  • Layer in 9×13″ dish: sauce, noodles, ricotta, sauce, mozzarella—repeat x3.

  • Top with cheese and bake at 375°F: covered 25 mins, uncovered 10–15 mins.

  • Let rest 10–15 mins before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use no-boil noodles to save time.

  • Add sautéed veggies for a vegetarian version.

  • Freeze unbaked lasagna up to 3 months.
