This rich, creamy, crowd-pleasing lasagna uses cottage cheese, cream cheese, and a hearty meat sauce to create layers of comfort that taste like a million bucks.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
3 cups marinara sauce
9 lasagna noodles (regular or oven-ready)
1 ½ cups cottage cheese
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp garlic powder
2 cups shredded mozzarella
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown beef in a skillet; drain fat. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, egg, seasoning, and garlic powder.
  3. Boil noodles if using regular. Lay flat to prevent sticking.
  4. Spread a thin layer of sauce in a 9×13 pan. Layer noodles, half the cheese mix, mozzarella, and sauce. Repeat layers.
  5. Top with noodles, remaining sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake 20–25 minutes more.
  7. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Oven-ready noodles save time. Resting before serving helps the layers set for cleaner slices.
