Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta features juicy, spiced chicken tossed with tender pasta in a bold, garlicky cream sauce. This quick and comforting meal is loaded with flavor and ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into strips
  • 1 ½ tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¾ cup pasta water (reserved)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ¾ cup pasta water and drain.
  2. Season chicken with Cajun spice, salt, and pepper. Sear in olive oil until cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté bell peppers in butter until tender-crisp.
  4. Add garlic, cream, and parmesan. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Add chicken and pasta to sauce. Toss to coat, using pasta water to adjust texture.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Adjust spice level with extra seasoning or red pepper flakes. Use shrimp or veggies for variations.
