This creamy crack chicken penne is loaded with juicy chicken, ranch seasoning, cheddar cheese, bacon, and pasta — the ultimate one-pot comfort food dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breast or thigh, diced
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in large skillet until crispy. Set aside.
  2. Sauté chicken in reserved bacon fat until cooked through. Set aside.
  3. Add broth and milk to skillet. Stir in pasta. Simmer for 10–12 minutes until pasta is tender.
  4. Add cream cheese and ranch seasoning. Stir until melted and creamy.
  5. Return chicken to pan and stir in cheddar cheese.
  6. Top with bacon and green onions. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked chicken for a faster version
  • Add spinach or broccoli for extra nutrients
