Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta is a bold, comforting dinner made with seasoned chicken, a spicy Cajun cream sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. Fast, flavorful, and irresistibly creamy!
8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
1 lb chicken breast or thighs, sliced
2–3 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 small onion, diced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: sliced bell peppers, parsley, chili flakes
Cook pasta to al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, drain and set aside.
Season chicken with Cajun spice, salt, and pepper. Sear in olive oil until cooked. Set aside.
In same skillet, melt butter. Sauté onion and garlic (and peppers if using) until soft.
Add cream and broth. Simmer gently 2–3 minutes. Stir in Parmesan and season to taste.
Add chicken and pasta. Toss everything together, adding pasta water as needed.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Use half-and-half for lighter version
Add spinach or mushrooms for variety
Adjust spice to preference with cayenne or hot sauce
