Tender seared steak and creamy garlic butter sauce tossed with pasta in a spicy one-pot dinner. A rich and comforting dish perfect for special nights in.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or strip), sliced

  • 10 oz bucatini or fettuccine

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 tbsp butter, divided

  • 45 garlic cloves, minced

  • ¾ cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • ½1 tsp red pepper flakes

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley or basil

  • ¾ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ¾ cup water, then drain.

  • Season steak with salt, pepper, and optional paprika.

  • Sear steak in 1 tbsp olive oil + 1 tbsp butter until browned. Set aside.

  • In the same pan, melt 3 tbsp butter. Add garlic and chili flakes, sauté 1–2 minutes.

  • Stir in cream, simmer, then whisk in parmesan. Season to taste.

  • Add pasta and steak to sauce. Toss with pasta water until creamy.

  • Garnish with herbs, more parmesan, and chili flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.

  • Use whole wheat pasta for fiber-rich version.

  • Great with garlic bread or salad on the side.
