Golden seared chicken simmered in a rich garlic-Parmesan cream sauce. A comforting one-skillet dinner perfect for pasta, rice, or potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 68 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  2. Heat oil and 1 tbsp butter in skillet. Sear chicken 4–5 mins per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower heat. Add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté 1–2 mins until fragrant.
  4. Deglaze with chicken broth. Simmer 2–3 mins.
  5. Add cream and Parmesan. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Return chicken to pan. Simmer 2 mins more.
  7. Serve hot with sauce spooned over top.

Notes

  • Add spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for variety.
  • Use half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • Store leftovers up to 3 days.
