Creamy Parmesan chicken with tender penne pasta in a rich, garlicky sauce. A comforting, restaurant-style meal made easily at home in under 40 minutes.

Ingredients

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
12 oz penne pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter (divided)
3 garlic cloves, minced
½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
1½ cups heavy cream or half-and-half
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes, chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook penne until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet. Sear chicken 3–4 min per side. Remove.
  4. Add 2 tbsp butter and garlic to pan. Sauté 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in broth, then cream. Simmer gently.
  6. Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  7. Return chicken and add pasta. Toss to coat.
  8. Adjust seasoning, garnish, and serve hot.

Notes

Use half-and-half for a lighter version. Add spinach or mushrooms for variety. Serve with salad and garlic bread.
