Bite-sized, fluffy churros made in the air fryer, coated in cinnamon-sugar, perfect for a quick and lighter dessert.
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Cooking spray or a small amount of oil for brushing
Optional: chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, or dulce de leche for dipping
1. In a saucepan, melt butter with water and salt. Remove from heat, stir in flour until smooth. Cool 5–10 minutes.
2. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
3. Pipe bite-sized rounds using a pastry bag with star tip. Brush lightly with oil.
4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Air fry 8–10 minutes until golden brown.
5. Roll warm bites in cinnamon-sugar. Serve with optional dipping sauces.
Dough can be made ahead. Don’t overcrowd air fryer. Reheat in air fryer to restore crispness.
