Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup salted caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Sea salt, for sprinkling
Optional: 1 cup chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking pans with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter with granulated and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla until incorporated.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; fold into wet mixture.
  5. Fold in chocolate chunks if using.
  6. Spread batter in pans and bake 20–25 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Cool slightly, then drizzle caramel evenly over top.
  8. Sprinkle with sea salt.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
  10. Store in airtight container up to 4 days.

Notes
