Easy Caprese Pasta Salad features tender pasta tossed with juicy cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and a simple olive oil dressing for a bright and refreshing dish.
12 ounces short pasta
2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
8 ounces fresh mozzarella pearls
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Optional balsamic glaze for drizzling
1. Cook pasta until al dente, drain, and cool.
2. Combine pasta, tomatoes, and mozzarella in a large bowl.
3. Whisk olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper.
4. Toss dressing with pasta mixture.
5. Fold in fresh basil.
6. Chill 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
