One Pot Garlic Parmesan Pasta is a creamy, cozy dish made with pasta simmered in garlic, broth, and milk, then finished with melted Parmesan for a fast and flavorful one-pan meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or short pasta)
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: ¼ cup heavy cream
  • Optional: 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Stir in broth and milk. Bring to a low boil.
  3. Add pasta and cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 10–12 minutes until al dente.
  4. Reduce heat. Stir in Parmesan and cream (if using) until smooth and creamy.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best texture.
  • Add spinach, lemon zest, or mushrooms for variation.
  • Reheat with a splash of milk or broth to restore creaminess.
