Salted Brownie Crinkle Cookies with a fudgy chocolate interior, crackled powdered-sugar-dusted tops, and a touch of sea salt.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup powdered sugar, for rolling
Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Fold in flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop dough, roll in powdered sugar, place on sheet.
  6. Bake 10–12 minutes until puffed and crackled.
  7. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and cool on wire rack.

Notes

Slightly underbake for fudginess. Optional: add nuts, caramel, or espresso powder.
