Ingredients

1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
Salt & pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter, divided
12 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or tagliatelle)
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup white wine or broth (optional)
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water. Drain.
Season steak with salt and pepper. Sear in skillet with oil and 1 tbsp butter for 3–4 min per side. Rest, then slice.
In same pan, sauté garlic in remaining butter. Deglaze with wine (optional).
Add cream and simmer. Stir in parmesan until smooth.
Toss pasta in sauce. Add sliced steak and combine gently.
