Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi Pasta features tender shrimp sautéed in garlic butter with lemon and white wine, tossed with pasta for a rich and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

12 ounces spaghetti or linguine
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Zest of 1 lemon
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Optional grated Parmesan for serving

Instructions

1. Cook pasta until al dente, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
3. Sauté shrimp in olive oil and butter for 1 to 2 minutes per side, then remove.
4. Add garlic to skillet and cook briefly.
5. Stir in wine and simmer to reduce slightly.
6. Add lemon juice and zest.
7. Return shrimp to skillet.
8. Toss with cooked pasta and reserved pasta water until silky.
9. Stir in parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overcook shrimp.
Add pasta water gradually to create a smooth sauce.
Serve immediately for best texture.
