These Philly cheesesteak sloppy joes bring together juicy ground beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and creamy provolone in one cheesy, satisfying sandwich — all ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup (optional)
  • 4 slices provolone cheese, torn
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • Optional: butter for toasting

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in skillet. Sauté onion and bell pepper for 5–7 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
  4. Stir in broth, Worcestershire, and ketchup. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in provolone and cream cheese until melted.
  6. Toast buns, then spoon meat mixture onto each bun.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

Substitute ground turkey or mozzarella if preferred. For spice, add jalapeños or hot sauce. Store meat filling separately for leftovers.
