Quick and cheesy Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks with sautéed onions, melted provolone, and toasted hoagie rolls. A 35-minute family favorite for busy nights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
1 large onion, thinly sliced
12 bell peppers, thinly sliced (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
68 slices provolone cheese
4 hoagie rolls
1 tbsp oil or butter for cooking
Optional: melted butter for toasting rolls

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in skillet. Sauté onions and peppers 7–9 mins. Remove and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef. Drain grease.
  3. Stir in garlic, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Cook 2–3 mins.
  4. Return onions/peppers to pan. Mix well.
  5. Lay cheese slices over beef. Cover and melt for 1–2 mins.
  6. Toast hoagie rolls if desired.
  7. Spoon cheesy beef mixture into rolls and serve hot.

Notes

Customize with mushrooms, jalapeños, or BBQ sauce. Use any cheese you like. Great for meal prep or freezing.
