1 lb ground beef
8 oz pasta (penne, shells, or rotini)
½ onion, diced
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp butter or olive oil
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup beef broth
½–¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: paprika, red pepper flakes, fresh parsley
Instructions
Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.
In a large skillet, brown ground beef. Season and set aside.
Sauté onion in butter until soft. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Add beef broth and cream. Simmer. Stir in Parmesan until smooth.
Return beef and add cooked pasta. Toss to coat. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
Adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
Use milk + flour to lighten the sauce.
Keeps well for leftovers — reheat gently with extra cream or broth.
