Savory, golden-browned mushrooms sautéed in garlic butter and herbs—perfect as a side, topping, or snack.

Ingredients

1 lb cremini or button mushrooms
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
45 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp fresh thyme (or ½ tsp dried)
Salt and pepper to taste
12 tbsp white wine, lemon juice, or balsamic (optional)
2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Clean mushrooms and slice or halve as needed.
  2. Heat butter and oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add mushrooms in a single layer. Cook 4–5 minutes without stirring. Stir and cook another 5–6 minutes.
  4. Add garlic and thyme. Cook 1–2 minutes.
  5. Deglaze with wine or lemon juice if using.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan—brown in batches. Add cream or cheese for variation.
