Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken features tender chicken cooked slowly in a sweet and savory sauce made with honey, garlic, soy sauce, and ginger.

pounds boneless chicken thighs or breasts
½ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
½ cup chicken broth
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, chicken broth, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
2. Place chicken in the slow cooker.
3. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
5. Remove the chicken briefly from the slow cooker.
6. Mix cornstarch and water and stir into the sauce.
7. Cook uncovered for 10–15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
8. Return the chicken to the sauce and coat evenly.
9. Serve over rice and garnish with green onions.

Notes

Adding broccoli or snap peas during the final stage of cooking can create a complete one-pot meal.
