Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz smoked sausage, sliced

  • 12 oz short pasta (penne, rotini, or bowtie)

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 34 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Add onion and cook 2–3 mins. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  • Add pasta, broth, and cream. Stir and bring to a boil.

  • Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 12–15 mins, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.

  • Stir in cooked sausage and Parmesan. Simmer 2–3 more mins.

  • Adjust seasoning. Serve hot with fresh parsley or extra cheese.

Notes

  • Use turkey sausage or whole wheat pasta for a lighter version.

  • Add spinach or tomatoes for extra veggies.

  • Great for meal prep and leftovers.
