This one-skillet Creamy Smoked Sausage Pasta is a quick, family-friendly dinner made with pasta, sausage, cream, and Parmesan. Easy, comforting, and ready in 30 minutes.
14 oz smoked sausage, sliced
12 oz short pasta (penne, rotini, or bowtie)
1 small onion, diced
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat oil in a large skillet. Sauté sausage until browned, 3–4 mins. Remove and set aside.
Add onion and cook 2–3 mins. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Add pasta, broth, and cream. Stir and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 12–15 mins, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
Stir in cooked sausage and Parmesan. Simmer 2–3 more mins.
Adjust seasoning. Serve hot with fresh parsley or extra cheese.
Use turkey sausage or whole wheat pasta for a lighter version.
Add spinach or tomatoes for extra veggies.
Great for meal prep and leftovers.
