This Creamy Spicy Cajun Sausage Pasta is a bold, rich, and comforting one-pan meal featuring smoky sausage, tender pasta, and a zesty Cajun cream sauce that’s ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
14 oz smoked sausage (andouille or kielbasa), sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 small onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
¾ cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt & pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, sear sausage in olive oil until browned. Remove.
  3. Sauté onion and bell pepper in butter until soft. Add garlic.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and Cajun seasoning. Cook 1 minute.
  5. Pour in broth and cream. Simmer 3–5 minutes.
  6. Add Parmesan, sausage, and pasta. Toss to coat.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For extra heat, add cayenne or hot sauce. Light cream can be used, but avoid milk. Double the recipe for meal prep or leftovers.
