This Spicy Italian Sausage Pasta features bold flavors, a creamy tomato base, and tender pasta — all ready in under 30 minutes. Perfect for cozy nights or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1012 oz pasta (rigatoni or penne)

  • 12 oz spicy Italian sausage

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 (14–15 oz) can crushed tomatoes

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Fresh basil or parsley, to garnish

  • 1 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  • Cook pasta al dente, reserve pasta water, and drain.

  • Brown sausage in oil, breaking it up. Cook until no longer pink.

  • Add garlic and chili flakes; sauté briefly.

  • Stir in crushed tomatoes. Simmer 5 minutes.

  • Add cream and Parmesan. Simmer until thickened.

  • Toss pasta in sauce. Add pasta water as needed.

  • Garnish and serve hot.

Adjust spice to taste. Add spinach, mushrooms, or dairy-free alternatives as needed.
