These Crispy Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries are golden, crunchy, and full of flavor—perfect for snacking or serving as a healthy, crowd-pleasing side dish.

Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes
1½ tbsp cornstarch
1½ tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
Optional: fresh herbs, dipping sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Cut sweet potatoes into ¼-inch sticks. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes (optional), then drain and pat dry.
  3. Toss fries with cornstarch to coat evenly.
  4. Add olive oil, salt, paprika, and garlic powder. Toss to combine.
  5. Spread fries in a single layer on baking sheets with space between.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip and rotate sheets. Bake 10–15 minutes more.
  7. Rest 5 minutes, season if needed, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra crispness, soak and dry well. Use parchment to avoid sticking. Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
